the horses and me...

once i only had a pony called paddy and now an Irish sports horse and a ex racehorse but how??...

Paddy

there he was the pony of my dreams a welsh cob 14.3 9yrs just right the pony of my dreams had came to me as my 10th birthday present and he was mine - all mine. we had a good 6 weeks together and it was the best six weeks of his life, he didn't have a good life before me... the trader i bought him from had a ton of horses but we only met two in a boggy field up near London some where and i had to get him out of there, he turned up a few weeks before my birthday and i loved him i had made his bed and all his feed and hay net and filled his bucket and i was so exited!!! but i don't have fab luck and the end of the road had to come at some point. he died - i was crushed my heart sank i didn't believe it i just ignored it, said nothing happened i was so destroyed i just didn't accept the fact that he was dead gone for ever and ever and never to come back and that was the end of him and riding i had decided that it was fault even though he had a serious worm infection and colic struck him so he rolled and sadly twisted his his gut and i believed it was my fault.

Chalky

he was at the yard at that time and was for sale he was a napper untrained and just completely naughty and he wasn't paddy.
a few weeks pasted and i learnt to love him we moved yards and i really got to know him and i re-trained him and he was the perfect pony all over again i was jumping with him and then my mum decided she wanted to ride again and i had to sell chalky.

Alfie

i was so upset i couldn't believe my mum made me sell him and i cried for days. we came across this lady and she had a 16.2 TB X warmblood and she said would we do a swap so we agreed and he came he was beautiful and when chalky went off i had no intention of loving Alfie all i wanted was chalky so we took Alfie's rug off and you had never seen anything like it before: flea bitten so skinning he was a state and i didn't like him at all he was miserable and mean and got a right attitude but my mum fell in love, but we didn't trust this rich 19yr old girl who hadn't a clue so we decided to get chalky back and when we got there he hadn't had is rug off once and he had a few minor cuts and there were these poor 4 other ponies that just had nothing so we got chalky back (you have know idea how pleased i was to have my little pony back\.)
We later found out that Alfie was a ex racehorse bulls eye we found his history and hes turning into a treat.

Chalky

i got right back with chalky and i rode him everyday and we started to jump 2'9 and then it came again i had to sell. i refused to let anyone have my pony and so i agreed to let him go on loan.

George

i started to look for a new horse i wanted a eventer a show jumper :) only in my dreams, i came across this advert in horse and hound and i loved him so we went to have a look only problem - 16.3 4yrs Irish sports gelding!!! but he was a real softy and they were very interested in chalky on loan for there grandson. but i was happy it was a lovely home run private stables, George was born there and i was very nice, and kinda posh but the man was lovely so i agreed. George came and chalky went i was happy and George was stressed, of course he would be he was missing his dad and he was running around and around and around!!!! but now he is settled and lovely a big baby and i am very happy with him!! Chalky is doing very well and getting on great, Alfie is lovely and we love him but as usual and stroppy but he wouldn't be the same with out it!!!!
